The decision to cap the Superduty pickups GVWR at 14K was made for marketing reasons, not because the components couldn’t handle more. IMHO, the F450 pickup has more real payload capacity available than the F350’s. In other words, it’s not as close to the boundaries of its “envelope”.
I also wish there was at least the option of a 4:10 axle ratio, but it’s not going to be screaming at highway speeds either. While I like to keep it around 65 on the interstates, there are times we need to scoot and it has no trouble maintaining the highest speed limits you’ll encounter in the US.
You might even come to enjoy being able to pass just about anything on a steep uphill grade. :B

IIRC my '15 had 4:10's and that truck would take you to 100 mph in the blink of an eye.
Sitting at a light with a Mustang to my left. I had to get into the left turn lane and there were a lot of cars behind the 'stang and me. The light goes green I nail it to get in the turn lane and I do. 'stang does to and pulls in behind me. I pull into the mall, and park the kids in the stang pulls in and says: WTH do you have under the hood of your truck. He could not beleive I had just beat him to the turn lane and the next light. Anyhow he left and was talking about trading in his stang on a truck. Young kid, stang sounded tuff, V8 I know that, but I don't know one stang from another after that.
