Truck cab organizer

Question

Hi all, I have removed the larger of the 2 back seats on my Chevrolet 2500 HD crew cab, and was wondering if anybody has thought up a cabinet system that would mount in place of this seat.  I am considering making one, but I have a tendency to reinvent the wheel.  Anybody know of a ready made "cabinet".  Thinking of a space for a portable generator in the bottom, some drawers mid way up and topped off buy some railing for our pups bed on top.  The railing would keep the dogs safe and "contained".  There is a lot of space here going unused!

One thing to keep in mind when designing buying organizers, in the event of a front end crash, the driver may need some space in the back of the cab to survive the crash. Also, anything stored in the back seat could become a projectile if not properly secured and the front seats only provide minimal protection against those objects. Realize it is a remote chance, but still exist and can occur suddenly.

Just coming home on Sunday we saw a car that had just flipped over the barrier cables and skidded across on-coming traffic. Somehow, it appears to have missed oncoming traffic but we have no idea how.
