Truck Camper Cover needed, Recommendations?

I've been spoiled with indoor storage in Hollister, CA but the owner has sold the building and now I have to vacate. I'll be stuck with outdoor storage for the foreseeable future. I store the truck and camper together so I need a good waterproof cover to keep everything clean. I need something that will cover the truck and camper together since I can't remove the camper while in storage.

Are there any recommendations of products that I should be considering?

  • I've gone through several of the Classic Accessories type of cover, in the California sun by 18 months they are looking pretty sorry and by 24 month, pieces. The Calmark cover is still looking quite good at 4 years. Just beginning to abrade a the pointy bits (they supply material to reinforce these once recognized, which I haven't done). The downside is the cost, and also they are heavy compared to the lightweight disposable ones, and harder to get on and off as a result.

The Texas sun killed my Classic Accessories cover also after two years.
But they have a three year warranty and they sent me a new one for free.
I will certainly get another two years out of it also.
Kind of makes it worth while for the low cost.

  • How well do these covers shed snow and hold up to the occasional wind gust that can last for some hours?

I am getting tired of sweeping snow off of my TC which I do religiously. I keep on top of the snow clearing because I just walk onto the roof from my deck which makes it easy to do, but it is getting old.

  • Tarps are not a proper breathable RV cover, and a proper RV cover is not a Tarp. Bin there, done that.

  • Sunshield tarp. Black side up for winter; silver up for summer.
  • I have a Classic Assecory cover on my Camper. This is the second winter for this cover and I have had no issues with it. I had another Classic Assecory cover on my two previous 5ers ( the same cover) it lasted for 11 winters here in Canada, that gives me a good feeling about the cover I bought for my camper.
