Truck Camper Flea Market

Overall, I don't like facebook. But for buying and selling stuff, I am blown away by the effectiveness, and it's free. There is a bunch of truck camper groups there where you can sell stuff.

Kayteg1, I sell on CL all the time. Couple rules I live by..

Price is always firm, you want to low ball me, visit over, goodbye.

You have an appointment to look at the items(s) more than 15 minutes late, don't bother, door is locked, light out.

Don't give me a sob story, I don't buy that ****.

Finally, cash only, no checks, money orders, only FRN's.

No test drives either.

Won't happen here. Remember who owns the forum and what he sells...

Any sales of anything is in direct conflict with his company.

Stick to the other forums, craigs list or a paid ad in your local rag. Won't fly here unless it's free.

I know that selling items is verboten, but in re-looking at The Rules again I do not see anything about free items or pay-it-forwrd (or did I missit?) Are either of these permitted?

Sometimes I am giving away unused camping items on CL but would like to give an opportunity to members here as well.

I do a lot of adventure riding on dual sport motorcycles and using the ADV rider forum they have a great well managed flea market everything from free stuff to people who just needed used parts that people take off of bikes when putting a lot of farkles on their new stuff..

Selling gear local (Craigslist) is far easier than selling stuff and having to deal with shipping.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't been locked yet.

Both Wander The West and American Adventurist have gear exchanges or buy and sell classified sections. While neither is STRICTLY for truck campers, I'd estimate that 80% to 90% of the members of each have truck campers.
