Bud, based on the nature of your questions, gutting and re building a RV is an effort in futility. It’s not really economically feasible in most any situation,in general either.
I’m surmising you don’t live where TCs are popular?
Don’t trip over dollars to save dimes. If you’re intent on a TC and on a low budget, get your truck situation handled then find the “right” TC where they are more popular and plentiful.
A lot of parts of the country, finding a used tc is like buying a snow blower in Phoenix...
But the mountain west states have a lot of TCs. Particularly the northwest.
