Truck Camping in the Outer Banks. Suggestions needed!

We stay at KOA in waves but it's commercial expensive. I plan on doing the NPS places this year. I don't think they have electric either?
There is one my near Hatteras lighthouse, but not sure how far the walk to Beach is.
