Truck Debates - Why does it seem to be mostly Ford vs. Ram?

What truck debates? Are you saying that people get into nasty, silly school yard snits about who has the best truck?

All the trucks are pretty evenly matched IMO, thus the debates.

Okay, a little humor at my expense--that's cool :)

But, I gotta say, so far everyone has ignored my question which is the whole point of my post. Hhmm . . .

I do not get people who get their personna from which truck they have. Ford, GM and Chrysler all make good trucks that do what trucks are supposed to do, carry stuff and tow. They all do it well.

There is no debate. Ram trucks are the best end of story!:p

I have purchased new a string of GM big block trucks starting in 1972 .
I swayed in 1987 and again in 1992 to a Ford .
I am back to GM .
I even like the idea of a Cummins .
However , I hope to never own another gas pickup .
Diesel is so much better .
I will not diss the Ford or Ram guys .
The new trucks are all so good now that it is a moot point .
Although the Eco-Boost crowd has some vocal proponents who think they own a freightliner !

Ah, come on, guys. Sure, we're all biased--that's a given.

Surely, someone can step back from the fray and try for a little, tiny bit of objectivity with my question.

I know, it's a very tough request, but I remain optimistic :)

The fight is really for #2 as we all know the best 1/2 ton on the market is the American made beast called the Tundra. :)
