I think the confusion with the Duramax is that Isuzu sells a straight-six as a Duramax LG4 in the medium duty fleet.

The VM Motori L630 (used in the Ram 1500) was sold in Europe as the A630 since 2011 with different emission tuning. The RA629 was developed by GM but I do not know if any of that technology went into the 630's.
