Unfortunately you are right but I think most people will agree that as a country it is better to be producers then consumers.
We still are producers. Maybe not the same product mix as in the past but still producers none the less. Every member on this forum and who earns a living in the USA is producing something. It is not always a tangible product. I will add, I think it is important to keep a solid manufacturing base in the U.S. if only for national security.
I agree but we as a country according to the news have a trade deficit. Every body can't be a doctor or lawyer gotta have worker bees.
