sizing by the designers has lots to do with this too
Friend has a PT Cruiser and is constantly replacing the front left bearing/hub
Service guy says they all or most has that problem with the drivers side bearing
going bad before the right side
He is 84 years old, but still drives aggressive...taking freeway off ramps with
speed.
The designers didn't put much margin into those front bearings, IMHO
The 'weight' is factored by the traction on pavement while turning standing still
Toss in hitting a pothole, curb, etc out there on the street to freeway
These are work vehicles and most of the components are expected to wear and tear
doing 'work'
I see it as just part of the cost of ownership
Sad to find one of my go to parts gone down the drain. I now use NAPA HD and
the AAA discount helps...
To the OP...OEM sized tires or over sized?
