I did a test a while back to see what happens when the truck is off, running, and remote start idling. For this test, the TC batteries were at 11v with truck off. I started the truck remotely and the batteries showed 12v. When I inserted the key, the TC jumped to 13.7v. I assume this means that the shop correctly installed the isolation but it acts odd when in remote start. Either that or the truck doesn't have the alternator running during remote start (highly unlikely).
What is the down side to having the truck provide charging while idling? It seems to me that if the TC pulled more current, the truck would throttle up.
