I have remote factory installed on my F350 and lack of power to trailer plug was disappointment.
With dual alternators there is no question if the 260 amp would charge at idle, but I guess it is safety measure why not all functions are powered after remote start.
The remote starts from 1/4 mile what is impressive.
Since trailer plug has limited amp and not too good connections, I have it on my winter project list, to add HD cables that would allow me run refrigerator on 12V and also get some more use from truck dual batteries.
As a backup in case truck batteries would go too low, I bought that $149 inverter generator one of friendly members posted here.
