The happiejac turnbuckles I have The short ones go on the front of the truck and the threads are pointing towards the top. The longer turnbuckles go on the rear with the threads pointing up ward as well. At least that's how the instructions told me to put them on the truck. You should hang them by your finger (barrel side up threads down) mark where the hook extends through the barrel. When you install them on your truck you are suppose to be a 1/4 inch past your mark for secure installation. The short ones I have have springs in them. The rear ones just snug them by hand. Then tighten down jam nut.
Should go for a short drive to see how the truck handles before throwing tons of money at the suspension. I'm going to get bags for it. possibly a different stabilizer bar. But also thought about turning my truck into a dually. Love the look of a dually
