I am running LT285/70R17E Nitto Terra Grapplers (all terrain). They are rated for 3,750 lbs each at 80 PSI which is more than most of the 18s, which are in the 3,650 lb range. The Dura Grapplers (all seasons) are rated for 3,950.
Almost all of the 18" tires seem to have good capacity in sizes that fit our trucks. What kind of weight are you looking to carry?
Although 19.5 tires are tough when loaded heavy, the drawbacks of such a hard and heavy tire on a pickup make them not worth it, for me. I would go to a dual wheel truck or convert mine before I would use 19.5s on a pickup. If I never drove it off road or unloaded, I might think otherwise.
