Haven't driven away of the 6.4s. I know the 6.1 hauls the mail in our Charger but it only pulls passengers, not a trailer.
The new Cummins with def do get similar fuel mileage to the 3 rd Gens, and don't trust mileage numbers with gassers. Haven't had one yet including the newer Ford 6.2 that got good mileage.
No brainer if you can upgrade to dually diesel for $3k. You'll always be money ahead with that combo Imo.
