If you want to get better gas mileage, consider something such as the Trail Manor units. Otherwise, you can't beat a pop-up tent camper.

Similar MPG (8-9.0) towing a pontoon boat vs. my 7,000 lb. travel trailer with my Suburban – both like pulling a parachute.
