TT Length Recommendation

If you like that TT set up then go for it. Your 3/4 will pull and stop it with no problem.

At that length I'd reconsider a fifth wheel. They tow better and give you a shorter overall package with the same length trailer. That floor plan is a fairly standard bunkhouse floorplan. Just going off memory I think the Jayco 325BHQS has a very similar layout and is a similar length, but your total package would be shorter with the hitch point over the rear axle. You could also open yourself up to slightly used fifth wheels if you're having a hard time finding one for the same price as the TT you're looking at. Just food for thought.

Our tt is 36' tongue to bumper and, other than length, tows no different than our old 28'. A little more difficult at gas stations and parking lots but on the road is fine. Where we have difficulty is campgrounds. We are severely limited in site selection as we only fit in approximately 15 percent of sites. Never had that problem with the shorter tt.

My trailer is a lot shorter so no input on length other than any properly 3/4 ton and bigger should pull it adequately, IMO.

Just to add: some roads, especially heavily used Interstates, suffer from road compression. The vehicles, especially 65K truck weights, buckle the road sections between sections. What results is a series of dips in the center of sections and a peak where sections meet. This can make a truck trailer combination buck or porpoise. FYI, I-94 North and South #1 lanes from Monticello , MN to St Cloud, MN suffer from this. On a recent trip covering that road in a bare F-250 with 300 lbs in the bed, I was forced to use the #2 lane as much as possible to keep my teeth.

I towed a 37' TT with a 250 and it towed fine for 11 years. I used a basic Reese trunnion hitch.

Various floorplans in any length TT might tow differently. A lot depends how you load it. If that model TT has shocks, that might be a good thing.

It would help to have a large fuel tank, getting into some gas stations could be a little tight.
A few CG's were very tight to make turns on the CG roads. Pull through sites were a plus towing a combined length of 58' plus. Call ahead to make sure you will fit into available sites.

One thought is to look at the max length of the campgrounds you like. We went from a Popup to a 33' TT, and we've noticed some limitation of sites because of length. We are trying to book for summer, and one of the places we want to go has 25' sites available, but all the longer ones are taken up.

If you are comfortable at 37 feet and can get in to the campsites you want, buy it. Bouncing should minimal.

My TT spec's are 37.7ft length (hitch to bumper). It pulls just fine with my Ram 2500. No issues whatsover. Like FireRob, I once in a great while, get a slight porpoising effect when the roads or bridge are such that it induces such behavior. But it doesn't last long and never gives me a sense of any lack of control.

I do not notice any sort of bouncing.

Just giving away my 2 cents. My TT is listed as 35' maybe even 37' if you include the tongue. I used to pull it with a Ram 2500 before I recently got the current 3500. (Got the 3500 because I got a deal I couldn't pass and we hope to one day up grade to a big 5th wheel toy hauler and wanted the bigger truck and long bed, not because the 2500 was inadequate to pull our current TT)

If the TT has everything you need and want don't be scared of the length or let that keep you from being happy.

Our TT on occasion I will feel it porpoise (rock up and down) going down the highway or especially long bridges where the road segments are not smooth or have dips. But it never last long once the road smooths back out a little. I honestly think if I spent more time adjusting my equalizer WHD I could prob fix and improve my ride quality a lot. That said we have never pulled into the camp site and found the inside of the trailer trashed or things thrown around. We actually keep tons of **** on the counter and it's always right where we left it.

Just some back ground we have gone on a couple trips that were 1500 to 3000 miles each and several more trips to the Texas coast of about 500 miles each way and tons of local places around 100 miles from home (Only mention this to show my experience or lack of depending how you look at it)

Oh and I'll say this, as far as pulling with my new 3500 dually, only pulled about 150 or so miles with it, and it vs the 2500? Well first impressions, it wasn't like it was a night and day difference. Basically it seemed about the same. Biggest difference is my auto leveling air bags kicked in and I'm still trying to figure those out as far as what I think about them and the "alt trailer height" mode.

Get a Propride 3P hitch. That's a very long TT, and that hitch is your best bet for taming it.
