TT Length Recommendation

Looking at the Grand Design 308BHTS and the spec sheet states it is about 37 feet. This seems too long to not get a lot of bouncing. I would be pulling with a 3/4 ton truck. Any thoughts, the TT has every thing we need and can't find any comparable functions/price in a 5th wheel.
  • You need to check the truck capacity and then find a trailer that is not too heavy for the truck.

With any TT or 5th wheel you will get some bouncing and sway depending on many factors including weather, hitch setup, road conditions...etc.

Your goal should be to find a truck, hitch and trailer combination that provides the safest and most comfortable towing experience under most conditions. And a trailer that meets your livability needs.

37 feet with the right combination of truck and hitch can provide a very safe and comfortable towing experience.

The key is what you are doing on this site...lots of research.

Most RV manufacturers have websites/forums for owners of their products. Be sure to check the Grand Design forums for input from actual owners of the unit you are considering.
