- bassin39ExplorerAre prices usually lower at the shows?
- bassin39ExplorerThanks guys. I'll check those out. We just got back from a dealer by us who has the new Jayco North Pointe 377RLBH. It's a mid bunk. It's an awesome floor plan. The dealer gave us a great price on it but there are a few little things we wish it had. A couple of options. now trying to decide wheather we should jump on it or wait for the Hershey RV show.
- thetechie01ExplorerI have thought the same thing. I have found one that would work well for us, but isn't really a separate room for the bunks... It's a keystone. 33BLPR
- badercubedExplorerChaparral makes a killer 5th wheel design that has intermediate bunks.
360IBL - bassin39ExplorerThe why is easy for us. In every, or almost every rear bunk model the main "living" room feels like part of the kitchen. And usually only 1 sofa. And usually a double. In the few TT with 2 sofas you are watching the TV through the kitchen area. In the mid bunks, you get the full rear living area. This wouldn't be that important if we were just going camping on the weekends but we are going to be living in it. And my 20 year old daughter may be with us for a while. So we would like a bigger living room and a private room for my daughter. We are looking at fifth wheels but just wondering if there was a TT out there like that. TT's are a bit less expensive and require a smaller truck to tow.

I don't know if there is, but if there isn't, the "why not" would be that manufacturers simply have chosen not to make one. THey would be the only ones that could really tell you "why" they aren't make a mid bunk.
Rather than "why not?" I'd have to ask (having owned a triple bunk bed model ourselves) "why?", what's the advantage of a mid bunk bed floor plan? :h bassin39 wrote:

2013 26RKS
Was also an Open Range. 2014 Roamer 302BHS
Those are the only two I can think of.
Demand would be the main issue for manufacturers not making them I would guess. Saw the Roamer at a CG once.....very cool layout.
