You ask about TT's under 4700 pounds, and immediately post your desire to buy one 800 pounds over that! I'd add that your determination to "not haul that much" will likely prove futile- most trailers run at or very near gross weight once even the simplest of add-ons are accounted for
In order to venture an opinion as to what weight trailer would be appropriate for any of the vehicles you name, we'd need more info such as year/model of the tow vehicle(s). Capacities/specs vary a LOT.
Thank you Francisca for your comments. I appreciated very much. The weight as per the dealer for Kodiac 200QB is 4100 pounds (including awning, A/C, electrical jack, empty propane bottle, etc..). Then I would add near 300 pounds for 2 batteries, propane and WDS. Based of 4700 pounds target, I would have a buffer of 300 pounds for food, personal luggage, etc.
However, base on another comments, I should not exceed 80% the capacity of the Toyota Highlander 2015. Base the real towing capacity 5000 pounds - 300 pounds for 1 passenger + miscellaneous = 4700 x80% = 3700 pounds. So I need go have 2015 Dodge Durango or choose a smaller TT. Thanks!!
