No doubt, every buyer has to weigh what he needs his truck to do for his needs... In 2008 these were the options in an f-150 with warranty up to 7 years..
Now,if I needed to tow more than 11,000 pounds or needed a payload capacity greater than 3050 pounds, I had the option to pay more for a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. I didn't and don't.
Each rv'er has to decide what truck he needs for his use,remembering that actual towing is a very small part of the trucks use, in most cases.
The F-150's versatility offers 4x2 or 4x4 drive systems, three cab styles, various pickup box designs and a host of option groups and available features. When properly equipped, the F-150 can accommodate up to 6 passengers, or can tow an impressive 11,000 pounds or have a payload of 3050 pounds.
