Possibly so, but I have know idea living where I live. Mine is a 2008 4x4 Supercrew with a 9300 lb max tow rating and 1700 lb payload,I believe without looking at the payload specs.
My only point is that anything short of the max tow rating is fair game for a properly equipped f-150. The 5.4 has plenty of power for the hills and cruising.
Not trying to be a snob as I have been a 3/4 ton guy most of my life hauling truck campers/large travel trailers and fifth wheels to live in while working,with 454's and 460's and my last 390.I even pulled an old 40 ft mobil home around with the 454 in a beafed up 3/4 ton GMC.…..
Just saying the new Ford f-150 is everything the old Ford f-250
was,plus some. Ford even recognized the lacking in there old 3/4 tons with large truck campers and came out with the camper special version beefed up.
To many people including myself only remember the old 1/2 tons which were not camper haulers or trailer towers... Now it has changed as well as the 3/4 tons which are more like the old 1 tons...... Times have changed big time in rv tow vehicles...
