The 6.2 seem to have a great track record. Doesn't seem to be any major issues at all. And most on the Ford forums give it positive reviews. In a 150 it would pull great. I understand your concern for daily driving the 250. I chose the 250 because I have a car to commute etc. having said that, I absolutely love the ride in my F250. Coming from a 150 I sit up higher and feel much more solid. I also have 2876 lbs of payload instead of 1700. So if you are towing occasional, and daily driving the half ton will work, just have to keep an eye on that payload. In the FWIW department, if I was buying a 150, I wouldn't think twice, I'd buy the Eco! Good luck and let us know what you end up with.
