In many states it would be illegal to fuel up while propane appliance is running.
Its really not that hard to shut off, takes 2 seconds to hit my battery disconnect and propane valve, why give the flammable gasoline vapors an ignition source in the worst case, or risk a ticket and fine in the best case.
I tow with a diesel, so my fuel isn't going to flash off, but the guy filling up gasoline next to me might.
