Turning your truck like a skid steer

Seen the new Denali will a new feature available hurricane turn that allows you to turn the vehicle in it's own length. It locks the wheels on one side and applies power to the other side.

Start up Rivian has it's own version called tank turn where it truly turns like a skid steer with electric drive wheels going different directions.

  • How long before someone trys that with a trailer hitched up?
  • I noticed the Rivian Electric Truck was spinning around in a mud pit.
Will it work as well on dry dirt or asphalt?
  • The Bradley was only a whispered dream for us older guys, vet.
  • Bradley drivers know this as neutral or pivot steer. That could get ugly in tight areas if you aren't used to it.
  • I haven’t saw that yet. Interesting development. My old 2015 Tahoe could turn very well. Army tanks and APCs could do that as I remember.
  • Interesting.

    GMC Hurrican Turn

It will be interesting to see what limitations GMC puts on theirs. From what I have heard the Rivian will be limited to doing its "tank turn" off road only. Good traction would likely break things.
