When I bought my used 2000 Bigfoot Camper the previous owner showed me the "entertainment" center which consisted of about a 12" TV/DVD Combo stored in a cabinet next to the fridge. I took one look at it and promptly offered to let him keep it. I'm not a huge TV/Movie person to begin with and no way did I want to bother with something as outdated as that contraption.
Generally speaking if I'm camping with the family we don't allow electronic devices. However, I also use my camper for business and just recently completed a trip up the Oregon and Washington Coast's from San Jose to Seattle and back. I had just purchased a Wilson Electronics Cell phone signal booster and was VERY impressed with the results. One night in particular, I was on the West side of the Olympic Mountain range on the Washington coast. Basically out in the middle of nowhere save for a very small town (Forks Washington) about 5 or 10 miles away. With my signal booster I managed to have full 4G service and was streaming Netflix over the connection in HD with no problems! I use a 8" NVIDIA Shield tablet for my movies as there really isn't a position in the camper a TV could mount and not be in the way anyway.
One special note... I'm on MetroPCS pre-paid which carries on the T-Mobile network. I stream Netflix, Youtube, I-Heart Radio and Pandora all the time and have never run into a data cap. I certainly don't have service everywhere like Verizon or AT&T but I get it about 80% everywhere I need it and not having data caps is worth it.
