Same question, were the old tires LRD and new ones LRE. I had Les Schwab snow tires for my earlier RAM that were LRD and they had a noticeable better ride than the LRE's. Have you checked inflation? An empty truck does not need 80 PSI in the rear tires. Try 44 lbs. Chris
Bad advice... Don't ever run 44lbs in a Super Duty. That is way too low.
I prefer to run 65PSI for good tire life, fuel economy and is the tire pressure recommended.
My LT275/70R18E's are rated at 2470 at 45 lbs inflation. The 4940 for a rear axle that weights 3760 with both boxes full and slider hitch in the bed. So tell me what's wrong with the weight and inflation. Chris
