Surely one can find a nice truck between 22-28K. Hard to find, but an '07 GM with the 8.1 would be nice, or a Ford with the 3v V-10. If you want gas, you will get a much nicer chassis for the same money.
You should be able to get a decent 2010-2011 F250 with the 6.2 for that kind of money. There were a few around here around $30k advertised so I would think $28k or so would be doable.
Didn't the 6.2 come out in 2011 in the Super Duty?
