My speculation is that you will never see a turbo V8 gas engine in a truck - it simply will be unable to meet CAFE requirements.
You pretty well on the money. No mention whatsoever of any form of forced induction.l could imagine under load that a turbo 5 litre engine would have miserable fuel economy
