I just don't see how I could tow any travel trailer with this payload. Unless of course I leave the family at home. The 5 of us weight approx. 770 lbs right now....obviously kids are growing!
The truck empty weighs 5,490 (went to the scale today) GVWR is 6,900 for the tv. So, actual payload is 1,410. So, if I remove the tailgate (approx. 90 lbs) that would mean I would only have 730 lbs left for tongue weight and anything else put in the truck.
Seeing as most trailers in the 25 - 26' length range seems to have a dry tongue weight of around 660 lbs (or so). Seems impossible.
