I know dodge has the same problem really bad at least earlier years mine included. There are some companies out there that make as someone previously suggest a cap for it that literally goes right on top. There are also companies that make new ones at least for dodge. Genos Garage sells the ones for dodges. The below one is for my truck have heard good reports on the use of them.
