The R in RV stands for "recreation" right? Wish I could have been there. At least I got to enjoy the race on TV. Those cars are incredibly tough. It was great to watch the drivers walk away from that wreck. It was nice to see Gordon get a win too, and I'm not a Gordon fan.

Someday I hope to "RV" to places like that. In the meantime I'll make the most of these danged pristine mountain/lake scapes I'm currently "stuck" with.

I really enjoy getting close to nature (as long as I have a hard sided box with a a comfy bed in it), but NASCAR would really rock!

Stayed at Ft W once for about 10 days and loved it. We had a site that was just around the corner from a bus/tram stop and real close to a 24 hour outside pool.

One of the biggest perks of staying at a Disney 'property' when visiting the Parks is that you get free use of Disney transportation. I know this may not sound like a big deal but it is - trust me. We would do a park for most of a day, then come back and grab swim gear, hop on the bus and go try out a pool or a hot tub at one of the other resort hotels. Then go back, change, and head back to The World till it closed. Come back to the camper, maybe go to the 24-hour pool for a while and then back to the camper to crash. Get up the next day and do it all over again. It was great.

My suggestion is to get one of the good guide books and read it (I'm sure somebody here can recommend the best ones). There is really nothing like The World. I believe it's 45 square miles, maybe more now. It's kind of important to learn some of the little secrets that will make your stay more enjoyable.

Noisy, crowded, smelly. Not my choice for ideal, but hey, what ever blows your dress up!

Sounds like it might be a bit noisy. :B
