Salvage titles also make the vehicle basically worthless as far as insurance goes. It wouldn't be worth paying for collision and comp because the adjuster will make the call on payout. Even if they get hit the payout will be minimal, even though it's not "your" fault.

That is the case with a salvage title but not a rebuilt. A rebuilt title had to have vehicle inspected by state inspectors and approved by them for highway use, when that is done you have no issues. I ran into this all the time when rebuilding wrecked classic cars.
