Salvage titles also make the vehicle basically worthless as far as insurance goes. It wouldn't be worth paying for collision and comp because the adjuster will make the call on payout. Even if they get hit the payout will be minimal, even though it's not "your" fault.
Who cares?? You do realize the parts are worth more than a 23year old run of the mill pickup truck with the 3rd crappiest Diesel engine in any pickup truck ever.
Once the depreciation bottoms out, it's about the condition and miles on the vehicle not the other stuff.
Besides it was a FD truck not like it was fixed in a chop shop and is still a decent deal.....even with the 6.5. GMT 400s are among the most venerable trucks in the last 30 years hands down.
