Unbelievable find

I drove one of those when they were new.
To this day it was the only stock diesel truck I have ever driven that could put down two patches of rubber off the line. It was a great sounding engine too.
However, they proved to have some real weak spots in their reliability over the long haul. They can be made better but it's costly.
For 3K I'd buy it and run it until it breaks.

That is not unusual, fire departments normally don't put a lot of miles on vehicles although it may have spent a lot of time running a pump or generator off a pto. It was also likely meticulously maintained, those guys can't afford break downs.

I will post pics after I pick it up. 3 hr drive each way to get it. Bought from my brothers local fire dept and he has known the truck for the past 10 years. Not sure what im going to do with it yet. Just couldn't pass it by.
