I made a set of 3 drawers to fit in the under-bed storage compartment. I constructed a false bottom in the under-bed compartment and then installed 3 drawers under the false bottom. Yes there is still storage below the mattress and above the drawers. My original post containes three picture links that show the bed raised, but only one of them displays. If someone could fix the other two I'd appreciate it. I can't seem to get pictures to post reliably.
