That video is correct in that it allows you to remove some of the weight off the bars to disconnect and connect.
But, had the guy taken 30 more seconds and lifted the tongue up another few inches he would have been able to remove and install the bars by hand.
Like others on this thread, I never use the pry bar that came with the hitch. I do know where it is as I never throw anything away, but I have never used it.
