The main advantage is zero launch shudder. I mean it's smoooth.
I've heard the possible down side of any 1 pc is they can have a slight vibration at very high speeds - maybe 80+, but newer materials (Alco alum.) and manufacturing capabilities minimize that (and I wouldn't care if it did). Mine is an OEM shaft that would have come on a 2006 RAM. It had to be shortened 1.5" to fit my application.
It also has bigger U-joints than the 2-pc and the tube itself is monsterous, 5 or 6" in dia.
I would do it again in a heartbeat!
