Today I picked up my TT from the RV repair shop. They had replaced the Fuse Panel/Converter combination in my Unit with a Inteli-Power 4000 Series unit.
Testing had revealed that the problem had been caused by the wire becoming loose and then heating up. All five of the circuit breakers on the 120 side had been smoked. And one wire had the insulation melted back from the circuit breaker.
After years of tightening screws and bolts, fixing loose fixtures, etc I had never thought of opening up the fuse panel and tightening the wire screws.
Hope this report saves someone else from this problem.

Had that problem in our first RV, but only the 12v system was affected. Loose ground (copper) from the converter in an aluminum buss. Everything still worked, but after seeing the buss in various stages of melting replaced the entire power distribution center, 110v CB's and replace the converter with a Xantrex multi-stage model. Reconnected all the wiring and used the antioxidant compound stuff on all the terminal connections for the CB;s and ground connections.
