I was completely in the LT camp but recently switched to the Goodyear Endurance for two reasons:
1) the primary consideration for LT tires was speed rating; the Goodyears are rated for 87 mph
2) the ST tires are rated for more weight than a similarly-sized LT tire, giving a slight increased cushion.
I still would not consider a foreign made ST tire of any kind, no matter what others may say about their reliability.
Agreed that there is nothing wrong with an LT as long as they're rated for the weight that is on them.
