Whether jobs were 'saved' we will never know. Somehow every major airline has gone through bankruptcy in the past 10 years and none are 'out of business'. Fewer names but all the same players and the same employees. Maybe a few less, but GM has many fewer employees as well.
Just because the govt says millions of jobs would have been lost doesn't make it true.
