Chairs just stayed where they are when traveling. Had some issues when the TT was new, but adding shocks really helped smooth things out.
As I said we liked the table/chairs in our previous TT, but here 4 people always seem cramped. We plan on adding a round table to the dinette, and more importantly only using a single pedestal in the middle. It's not the typical RV pedestal tubes, I found a Sequoia marine-grade table pedestal that should be able to support a 36" round table with just one. We got the 29" height. One of the issues we saw with these dinettes is that the mfrs use two pedestals, and it's a tight squeeze to slide in with the pedestals too close to the benches. I'm 6'5" so this needs to comfortable.
Also now camping with nieces and nephews now that our kids are grown and could use the extra sleeping space. We'll see how it works out!
