There is no evidence to suggest Maxxis are best .
There are several threads relating to Maxxis failures .
Maxxis is a recent brand and has sold only 10 % of the ST tires that Goodyear , or Carlisle or the other mainstream brands .
What matters most is the load weight capacity in pounds as tated on the sidewall .
If you have Load Range C tire that has 1820 # capacity and can upgrade to a load range D or better yet a load range E tire you can get up to 2500 # and 2800# capacity weight rating .
If you have 205/75 and have the room to go to a 225/75 that is another way to improve the load capacity.
Load Capacity of the tire gives you additional reserve .
Your ability to carry extra weight will still be limited by the axle capacity .
Most steel RV wheels are fine for 80 psi .
There has not been a catastrophic wheel failure reported due to higher inflation pressure in a steel RV wheel on this forum .
An load rated E tire can lose the pressure down to 50 psi and still be as safe as the load range C tire that started at the 50 psi limit .
