upgrades to improve towing in a 2001 Expedition?

THis was enlighening.

I already have 16's so there's gain to be had there. If I did a gear swap I'd probably scan the junkyards for a F150 or F250 with 4.10s and swap axles. But that's probably a long way off.

As much as I love this truck it's only worth about $3K in my market but the next great thing would be the 2009 Expy and they are still fetching $18K.
