upgrades to improve towing in a 2001 Expedition?

Subject truck has a towing capacity of 7100 lb. Adequate to pull our 5500 lb Vintage trailer around (74 Boles Aero) and there are no plans to trade in the truck. I'm a middle aged guy with two kid...

As this truck is just for towing and I do not think towing mileage would be much different between 3.73 and 4.10, that is what i would do.

i don't think 4.10 was ever offered on the Expy but it was on the F150 so does anyone know the GCWR of a 2001 F150 with 4.10?
