I really like my dually a LOT. I have the 3.73 ratio. Seems to do all I want it to. I been as high as 26,800 gross weight pulling a 3 axle goose neck trailer. No problems pulling that weight. Or stopping it either!!! The exhaust brake is a wonderful addition. I had a 2006 with the 5.9 before the 2010. No EB on the'06. Same mountains and had to use the service brakes a lot on descents. Not at all with the EB.
I have the Laramie trim. About the only options I don't have are the sun roof and perforated, vented seats. Little fans blow air up your butt!!! I've heard that the holes in the vented seats stretch after a while and then looks bad. I don't know if they've fixed that issue or not.
Keep in mind that new diesels will require DEF, Diesel Exhaust Fluid.
I don't know anything about the Aisin. The only things I might do differently is perhaps a 45-5500 for the weight capacity and maybe a utility body for the extra outside storage.
Of course I am biased as I work for Chrysler.
