2013 DODGE RAMS

Here in Ontario, Canada we have a sell off on 2013 Ram 2500 and 3500. it looks attractive and I was going to buy one. I have done a search and can only find 2014 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel as new model. Am I missing something as to what improvements will be on the 2014 models and whether I should buy now or get a 2014 3500 diesel Model?

Honestly, I would find used '12. No DEF to deal with and the previous owner already took the depreciation hit. If that isnt an option, then I would pick a '13 thats discounted to sell.

Having owned 2010 and 2012 Ram crew cab long bed 4X4 3500 Dually's, the 13' beat's both of them in mpg, due largely to the addition of DEF. The DEF is no big deal to "deal with"...guess if you haven't had it, then you don't know....Ram has had DEF since 2010 in their C&C trucks and now in their regular trucks.

If I were the OP, if your looking for a 2500HD, the 14' models will see an improvement from 13 to 14...as far as the 3500, there isn't that much difference, the air suspension, but GVWR, GCWR, FAWR, RAWR and HP and TQ are still the same, with variations on tranny's and engines...The 6.4 Hemi is new.....

Depends on what you're looking for. a 1/2 ton, a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton SRW or DRW....if in the 1 ton market, you might get your best deal on a 13'. Just tossing it out t
  • The 2014 RAM 2500s and 3500s have several improvements over the 2013s.

    - Air suspension in the rear (2500 & 3500)
    - 6.4L Hemi available (410hp/429tq) with better mpg than the 5.7L due to MDS
    - Rear coil springs (2500)
    - New rear leafs w/air bags (3500)
