Used Diesel Truck Miles: How many is too many
I'm beginning to look at late model used 1 ton Diesel SRW trucks to tow my new Reflection 5th Wheel. My 1 ton gas Ram with the 6.4 Hemi tows it fine but with 3.73 gears I'm getting 6.9 MPG before putt...

Well I have bought on both ends of the mileage chart.
Our 2001 Ram Laramie 2500 CTD was purchases in September 2010 with 234,280 miles we sold it June of 2019 with 315,000 miles.
We bought a 2016 Ram Laramie 3500 CTD DRW the last day of 2018 (early buy new November of 2015) with 27,534 miles. We are currently at 50,537 mile a year and a half later. We full time and the Ran is our only vehicle. the 2016 pulls our 5er with ease (3.73's) and at the last weigh last month it scaled 13,600# with a 2,800# pin.we get about 11 to 12 towing.
The 2016 has the Aisin transmission, and it requires a drain and fill at 30,00 miles and a drain and filter change at 60,000 miles. Mobil 3309 trans fluid is on the recommend list and I got for about $4.00 a qt. the only other costly maintenance is fuel filters, about $110 every 15,000 miles.
