I think if I was in the market for a 2 year old diesel with the idea that I would be putting few miles on it I'd look for a higher mileage unit to start with. Assuming you can find a real nice high mileage unit that is depreciated significantley on account of its mileage. You should be able to get 300,000 miles out of a new truck. If you only put 10k on it per year and you start with something that has 100k on the clock it's going to take you 20 years to get to 300k.
