I think it is safe to say there are more 6.7 Powerstokes sold per year than 6.7 Cummins engines and very likely more 6.6 Duramax engines sold than the 6.7 Cummins as well regardless of where they are used. The 6.7 Powerstroke was designed specifically for use in a Ford pick up truck and I believe is very well suited for that application. The early 5.9 Cummins engines were designed for very small low power utility tractors and they were well suited for that application. The 6.7 Cummins has evolved a whole lot in order to compete with the new Duramax and Powerstroke engines and it does compete. throw a 385 HP Cummins in a highway tractor and how long do you think it would survive? It has been designed to keep up with Ford and GM diesels not to be used in industrial applications.
